History of Redwood Sales

Founded in the 1955, Redwood Sales began as a wholesaler of California redwood. Redwood Sales sold redwood timbers, redwood siding and redwood decking to lumberyards from Maine to Florida. In this capacity, Redwood Sales served the residential housing market as well as the commercial and industrial markets. California redwood’s workability and natural resistance to decay made it a popular wood for uses as different as exterior millwork and storage tanks for sewage treatment plants. As redwood’s popularity waned in the 1980s, Redwood Sales transitioned to the wholesale distribution of windows and exterior doors---at one time covering all of the Mid-Atlantic states. Today we sell direct to builders, developers and architects, while maintaining a healthy wholesale business to select dealers.
